Sharon Teo completed her Masters in Counselling from University of Queensland, Australia in 2010. She is passionate about building a generation of young people who celebrate diversity and actively work towards being emotionally and mentally strong. Addressing issues which many are “shy” to answer or explore in a safe and respectful manner. She has been expanding her counselling experiences through exploring areas which are considered taboo. An educator, trainer and counsellor at heart, she hopes to be able to support individuals with sexual health issues to better their sexual experiences and life.
Her experiences range from being a lecturer to polytechnic students, working with elite sporting athletes supporting them through social emotional issues to peak performance, training peer student supporters to advocate on mental wellness, supporting sexual offenders through their personal struggles and counselling support to recruits serving national service.
As a certified sexual health educator and counsellor, Sharon’s fundamental belief is in fostering a safe, non-judgemental and inclusive space for individuals to explore and understand their sexual health. Committed to providing evidence-based information, promoting consent and respecting diverse identities and expression. Her practice prioritizes open communication, confidentiality and empowering individuals to make informed decisions that align with their values and well-being.
